The Public Safety Leadership Initiative develops next generation law enforcement leaders through its three distinct programs. The Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) introduces mid-career public safety supervisors to the latest innovations in management thinking and practice. The unique five-course curriculum allows participants to work closely with graduate faculty from NC State’s nationally ranked MPA program. The Law Enforcement Executive Program (LEEP) delivers executive-style training to aspiring public safety CEOs. The topics and schedule align with the particular needs of officers from smaller agencies. The Police Leadership Lab (PLL) bridges the gap between police practice and research. The Lab undertakes projects designed to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement organizations.
